Text Corruption

In designing this website we have given you the unique benefit of super-fast page loading. In the unlikely event that this results in text corruption, please take the following simple remedial action:

Step 1:  With the corrupted text visible, click on the Refresh button at the top of your browser screen. This is most often all that is needed.

Step 2:  If Step 1 does not resolve the problem, then click on Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files. This will resolve the problem in Internet Explorer - other browsers will have similar options.

Explanation & Apology:

Depending on your browser settings, every time you exit a file, your browser will save a copy of that file in your Temporary Internet Files folder on your hard drive. When next you access that particular file, your browser will save time by downloading that file from this folder instead of once again downloading it across the internet.

Unlike most websites - those that take forever to display a page - our website displays the visible page immediately and then continues to download the remainder of the page in the background while you are reading. Because our pages are "information rich," this design option results in pages displaying in 1 to 2 seconds instead of 20 seconds or longer.

A problem arises, however, should you exit a page before it is fully downloaded. This will save a corrupted version of that page in your Temporary Internet Files folder. This corruption will show up when next you access that page.

Please understand, therefore, that our website has been designed this way only to save you time - and that you can avoid such text corruption by not exiting a file before it has downloaded fully - which you probably will never do anyway. Please rest assured, however, that the remedial action given above will always resolve the problem.
